Health and Wellness
Because Ohio State prioritizes the health and wellbeing of every Buckeye, both general and LGBTQ-specific health care services are available on campus.
A variety of mental health services, including individual and group counseling, trans-specific mental health resources, suicide prevention programming and crisis support, are available to Ohio State's LGBTQ+ undergraduate, graduate and professional students.
The Student Life Student Wellness Center offers services dedicated to sexual health, including free services available to all Ohio State students. One resource is the Condom Club, which is available to all Ohio State students. Members of the Condom Club can purchase up to 25 condoms for $5.00 each day. Each Condom Club purchase comes with two free packets of lubricant each day. Join the Condom Club!
The Student Life Student Health Insurance (SHI) Benefit Plan covers many services for transition-related care, including counseling, hormone therapy, and certain surgical procedures. Open the document "Trans Health Care Services with Student Health Insurance" on this page to learn more.
If you would like to speak to a SHI staff member who specializes in information to support students seeking transgender services, please contact SHI at 614-688-7979 or firstname.lastname@example.org and specify your needs – your inquiry will be directed to the appropriate staff member.
