Health and Wellness

Because Ohio State prioritizes the health and wellbeing of every Buckeye, both general and LGBTQ-specific health care services are available on campus.

Food Security

If you need food assistance, there are resources available!

The Student Wellness Center operates the Buckeye Food Alliance (BFA). BFA works to reduce the impacts of food insecurity through outreach efforts and the operation of a client-choice food pantry. The food pantry is open to all Ohio State Students and provides fresh produce, pantry staples, meat and dairy products, personal care items and more. You can submit an order online and choose your pickup time.

Stonewall’s CARES Fund: provides resources to those in the LGBTQ+ community through offering Kroger gift cards, bus passes, and meal vouchers.

Mental Health

A variety of mental health services, including individual and group counseling, LGBTQ-specific mental health resources, suicide prevention programming and crisis support, are available to Ohio State's LGBTQ Buckeyes. View a detailed list of mental health services.

If you or someone you know is an imminent danger to themselves or someone else, go to the nearest Emergency Room, Hospital Emergency Department, or call 911.

Resources are also available for those dealing with substance abuse and addiction.

Health Care and Insurance

Our health is vital to our wellbeing, but navigating the healthcare system and health insurance is complicated! Check out resources on health care services, finding affirming care, and health insurance at Ohio State and beyond.

Sexual Health

The Student Life Student Wellness Center offers services dedicated to sexual health, including resources and free services available to all Ohio State students. There are also a variety of resources available to help with education, safe(r) sex, getting tested, and more. View a detailed list of sexual health resources.
